This project was beyond fun! The goal was to create a custom Tractor Chair + Bookshelf to serve as the anchor piece in a young boy’s tractor themed room in Burr Ridge. We started by taking sketch from Sheryl Allen Interiors and turning it into a working measured drawing. We loaded up the pile of tractor parts and assembled on site while a excited little boy provided supervision — The result was a one of a kind piece which will provide the stage for an active imagination for year’s to come!

First, we started with a design and measured drawing.
Next, we dialed in final fabrication details.
From there, we built a platform with steel pipe axels and custom beveled wheels.
Finally we painted the tractor chair in a Caterpillar Tractor color scheme.
As the project started to take shape, we added the bookcase scoop, bench, canopy and secret trunk compartment.
